For this EP a lot of it started off as drawings. I used the drawings to make my music. For this EP i was inspired by lots of acousmatic music for film/TV. I looked at music by Jon Hopkins who produced the score for the film Monsters and Cristobal Tapia de Veer who wrote the soundtrack for Utopia, Humans and Dirk Gently. I focused mainly on Sci-Fi and propaganda as this was the direction I was taking.

The EP has a non-human element which is what I wanted to portray in the final artwork. I wanted the listener to picture something with the life drained out of it. The finished artwork symbolises an infertile and drained of life creature. The negative white space represents the sterility of this future world. Nothing is living and nothing dies.

Menedh Du started producing his own music upon arriving at Falmouth University. He creates a distinct Sci-Fi distopian mood and his music is highly charged by visual imagery conjured by the sonic references/connotations.
Menedh Du's tracks are hugely cinematic with wraith like screeches, human and non-human voicing cutting through underlying bass pulses, crackles and tones.
